Corporate Social Responsibility

We combine economic success with social responsibility, to ensure sustainable development and contribute to a better future for us and for the coming generations. We contribute to the society by taking a proactive stance in our social role, not only by fulfilling our basic responsibility and abiding with the written laws, but exploring opportunities to engage with the community.

Morison Menon conforms to ISO 26000 Social Responsibility Standards. Morison Menon Chartered Accountants, Morison (UAE) Consulting and Morison Menon Corporate Services implement international social responsibility standards. After an intensive evaluation by QSZ, the international inspection company, which conducted site visits, staff interviews and record reviews, Morison Menon was declared successful at complying with all measures of the ISO 26000 sustainability and social responsibility standards for the second consecutive year. The relationship of Businesses and Organizations with the Society and Environment in which they operate is a critical factor in their ability to continue effectively. It is also increasingly being used as a measure of their overall performance. ISO 26000 provides guidance on how Businesses and Organizations can operate in a socially responsible way. This means acting in an ethical and transparent way that contributes to the health and welfare of Society.

Morison Menon associated with Dubai Cares, the philanthropic organization working to improve children's access to quality primary education in developing countries to create an awareness of the initiatives of Dubai Cares to the public.

45,000 copies of a co-branded calendar detailing the activities of Dubai Cares in various countries was printed and distributed to all major business houses and government offices in the UAE.

As part of our CSR initiatives, Morison Menon partnered with "My Community... A City for Everyone" for Morison Menon's corporate calendar for 2017. We distributed 50,000 copies of the desk top calendar featuring the different activities under this noble initiative.

"My Community... A City for Everyone" is launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, transforming Dubai into a disability-friendly city by the year 2020. The initiative's objective is to support and strengthen the emirate's efforts to empower persons with disabilities.

A Responsible Corporate Citizen

As a responsible corporate citizen, we have always strived hard to conduct our business in a manner that is fair and conforms to the highest ethical standards.

As an equal opportunity employer, Morison Menon hires talented professionals irrespective of their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation or social standing. In fact we encourage differently abled people to apply for jobs, in an effort to bring them into the mainstream, rather than hiding behind curtains. They are provided ample opportunity to excel and be on par with other employees.

We conduct knowledge transfer sessions and offer internships to deserving students who have completed a course of study at prominent business schools and universities, thereby equipping them with skill sets required to excel in their places of employment.

Morison Menon supports a number of charities in the UAE as well as in India, like the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Able Foundation, and so on. The main areas we serve are: schools for special needs children, education for children from the weaker sections of the society, sponsoring promising athletes, and making regular and substantial financial contributions to people in distress: those who are affected by natural disasters like flood, famine, and so on.

At Morison Menon we also care for our environment and promote eco-friendly practices in all our offices, like recycling, repurposing old objects, reducing use of plastic and other non-biodegradable materials, planting trees in our surroundings, and so on.

We truly believe that as a corporate citizen it is our job to ensure that we do what we can to develop sustainable communities and create a better quality of life for our fellow human beings, not just now, but also in the future.
