Fujairah - the preferred bunkering destination in the Middle East

Strategic location, lower risk, cheaper freight, less congestion, significant investment in port infrastructure and refinery expansion are some of the reasons why Fujairah still maintains its position as the preferred bunkering port in the Middle East. Fujairah still maintains its second position while Singapore as first and Rotterdam as third. The Port of Fujairah experienced a positive year in 2010, showing good growth in all areas. Fujairah reconfirmed its global leading position in terms of vessel arrival tonnage and bunker sales. World�s leading oil trading majors such as BP, ConocoPhillips, Litasco, Lukoil, PetroChina, Vitol are to name a few, have already moved to establish their presence at this port which is an alternative to Strait of Hormuz.
